The company made it’s original fragrance, Colonia, in 1916, it was created in a small perfume factory in the center of Parma’s Historic old Town. After which the company is named.
At the time, most commercially succesfull perfume fragrances were much stronger in smell and composition, that’s the reason the unusually light smell and freshness found wide succes in Europe.
Perfume products are all made with the hand within Italy.
